A significant feature of Murphy Hall is the convergence of graphics, news writing and broadcast labs in a single space, the Digital Media Studios (DMS).

The DMS features:

  • Three 20-workstation teaching areas
  • Internet and networking connectivity
  • Ceiling-mounted projectors for displaying computer or video output
  • Cart-mounted computer workstations for instructor use
  • A broadcast production facility, capable of functioning independently, that also integrates with the University‚Äôs television and theater facilities in the Rarig Center

Regular Hours

Monday through Thursday: 8 AM to 10 PM
Friday: 8 AM to 5 PM
Saturday and Sunday: Closed

Finals and Summer Hours

The last day of classes is Friday, May 9. All equipment must be returned by noon on May 9.
For actual final exam hours, consult with class instructors. Public hours during finals will be as follows:

  • The DMS will be open regular hours through Friday, May 9.
  • Monday - Wednesday, May 12-14, 9 am - 4 pm.
    We will close at 4 pm on Wednesday, May 14 and will not re-open until Tuesday, June 16, 2014 when summer session begins. Any materials students wish to keep must be backed up and cleared from DMS computers and servers by end of day on May 16 (Sevareid Library is open regular hours through May 16). Classroom computers and servers will be erased beginning at the end of the semester.
