Digital Media Studios

A significant feature of Murphy Hall is the convergence of graphics, news writing and broadcast labs in a single space, the Digital Media Studios (DMS).

The DMS features:

  • Three 20-workstation teaching areas
  • Internet and networking connectivity
  • Ceiling-mounted projectors for displaying computer or video output
  • Cart-mounted computer workstations for instructor use
  • A broadcast production facility, capable of functioning independently, that also integrates with the University’s television and theater facilities in the Rarig Center

Regular Hours

Monday through Thursday: 8 AM to 10 PM
Friday: 8 AM to 5 PM
Saturday and Sunday: Closed

End of Spring Semester and Finals Hours

The DMS will be open regular hours through Friday, May 10.

Hours during finals will be:
Monday-Wednesday, May 13-15 open from 9 am until 10 pm.
Thursday, May 16 from 9 am until 2 pm.
All personal files on DMS computers and servers must be backed up to personal storage devices by 2 pm on May 16. Spring accounts and storage will be cleared after May 16, 2013.
The DMS will be closed until regular Summer Session begins on June 17. Summer hours will be posted at that time.
