About the Digital Media Studio:
The SJMC houses one of the most technologically advanced facilities in the nation. The digital media studios consist of 57 Mac and PC computer workstations, all with the latest software for publication, web and digital video production and editing.
Students in classes with assigned labs also have access to equipment including digital still and video cameras, plus a digital video news studio in which the student news program "University Report" is produced. Students learn all aspects of television production in the studio, from behind the desk to behind the scenes.
JULY 4 HOLIDAY
The University of Minnesota will be closed on Friday, July 4 in honor of the Independence Day holiday.
END OF SUMMER SESSION
Summer Session ends on Friday, August 8.
The DMS will be closed from Saturday, August 9 until Fall Semester begins on Tuesday, September 2, 2008.
